General Misperception for NDA Preparation

1. Eligibility is after clearing Ten Plus Two Exam:

Candidates should have cleared Plus 2 exam at the time of joining NDA. Therefore, eligibility for appearing for NDA Written Exam is When Candidates is in Plus 2 and appear for NDA - 2 Exam of that year.

2. Maximum age of 19 Years 6 Months is at the time of applying for NDA :

The Candidates should not be more than 19 years 6 months at the time of joining NDA. The Process for filling up form for UPSC written exam starts approximately an year in advance

3. SSB Interview preparation should begin after passing UPSC Written Exam :

Serious candidates should starts preparing for current affairs, General Awareness and Physical fitness as soon as they apply for written exam

4 Hobbies, Interest & Extra Curricular Activity( ECA) are not important for Selection :

A candidate with ECA, Hobbies/ Interest has an edge during the interview than not having any of the above.

5. Repeaters are not considered favorably by Assessors at SSB

Candidates going for 17^th time have also been cleared in the past.Each attempt is a fresh attempt and the performance of the candidate only dictates the final results at the SSB. So repeaters should work on their weakness rather than blaming the selection process
