The dress code for the SSB (Services Selection Board) in India varies slightly depending on the specific service for which you are applying, but generally, it follows a formal attire guideline. Here's a breakdown for both males and females:

For Males:

1. Formal shirt and trousers: Wear a well-fitted, long-sleeved formal shirt with formal trousers. The shirt should be of a solid color like white, light blue, or light gray. Avoid loud patterns or bright colors.

2. Tie: A conservative tie is usually required, preferably in solid colors or subtle patterns.

3. Formal shoes: Wear formal leather shoes that are polished and in good condition. Black or brown are typically acceptable colors matching trousers. The Socks colour should also be of colour of trouser.

4. Belt: Match your belt with your shoes in color and ensure it's in good condition.

5. Grooming: Maintain a well-groomed appearance, including neatly trimmed hair and clean-shaven face. Facial hair is generally not allowed except for Sikhs who are allowed to maintain their beards.

For Females:

1. Formal attire: Wear a well-fitted formal suit or formal attire like a blazer with a skirt or trousers. Choose conservative colors like navy blue, black, or gray.

2. Blouse or top: Pair your suit with a conservative blouse or top. Avoid low-cut or revealing tops.

3. Formal shoes: Wear closed-toe, low-heeled formal shoes in black or brown. Avoid overly flashy or casual footwear.

4. Accessories: Keep accessories to a minimum and choose understated jewelry. Avoid large or distracting accessories.

5. Grooming: Maintain a neat and professional appearance, including well-kept hair and minimal makeup. Keep nails trimmed and avoid overly elaborate nail polish.

Both males and females should also ensure that their attire is clean, well-pressed, and free of wrinkles. Additionally, candidates should maintain good posture and confident body language throughout their SSB interviews and assessments.
