Psychological Test

Thinking Precedes doing. An individual is known by his thinking or thoughts. Psychological testing at the SSB is an approach to look into the Candidates’ mind, to assess his suitability for a challenging career in the Defence Forces. The tests are designed to elicit Candidates’ response to different stimulii. The assessors evaluate the responses against a set of pre-defined Officers Like Qualities (OLQs).

There are four tests conducted by the Psychologist

1. Thematic Apperception Test (TAT)

2. Word Association Test (WAT)

3. Situation Reaction Test (SRT) and

4. Self Description Test (SDT)
