How to Fill CAPF Exam Form – Step-by-Step Guide (2025)

The CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) Assistant Commandant Exam is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) for recruiting officers in paramilitary forces such as BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB. The application process for the CAPF exam is entirely online, and it is crucial to fill out the form correctly to avoid any mistakes that could lead to rejection.

In this guide, we will provide you with a detailed, step-by-step process to fill out the CAPF (AC) 2025 Application Form successfully.



Step 1: Visit the Official UPSC Website

  1. Open your web browser and go to the official UPSC website: https://upsconline.nic.in

  2. Click on "Online Application for Various Examinations"

  3. Find "CAPF (AC) 2025 Application Form" and click on "Apply Now"



Step 2: Complete Part 1 Registration

The CAPF application form is divided into two parts. The first part requires candidates to enter their personal and academic details.

1️⃣ Enter Personal Details:

  • Full Name (as per 10th certificate)

  • Father's and Mother's Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Gender

  • Nationality

  • Marital Status

  • Email ID (for OTP verification)

  • Mobile Number (for OTP verification)

  • Permanent Address

2️⃣ Enter Educational Qualifications:

  • Name of the University/College

  • Year of Passing

  • Degree Type (Graduation is mandatory)

3️⃣ Select Examination Center:

  • Choose your preferred exam center from the available options

  • Exam centers are allotted on a first-come-first-serve basis, so apply early

4️⃣ Verify Details and Submit:

  • Review all the information carefully

  • Click on Submit

  • After submitting, a Registration ID will be generated. Note it down!



Step 3: Upload Required Documents (Part 2 Registration)

After completing Part 1, you must upload scanned copies of the necessary documents.

Documents Required:

✅ Recent Passport-size Photograph (JPEG format, 20-300 KB)

✅ Signature (JPEG format, 20-300 KB) 

✅ Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Passport, or Driving License)

📌 Ensure that the documents are clear, in the correct format, and within the specified file size!



Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

💰 Application Fee Details:

  • General/OBC: ₹200

  • SC/ST/Female Candidates: Exempted (No Fee)

Payment Methods:

  • Online: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, Wallets

  • Offline: SBI Challan (if applicable)

✅ Once the payment is successful, note down the transaction ID for future reference!



Step 5: Final Submission & Print Application Form

  1. Review all the details carefully before final submission.

  2. Click on "Final Submit"

  3. Download and print your Application Form and Fee Receipt for future reference.



Important Points to Remember

✔️ Use a valid email & mobile number for OTP verification. 

✔️ Ensure uploaded documents are clear and readable. 

✔️ Select the correct exam center as changes cannot be made later. 

✔️ Keep a copy of the payment receipt and application form.

 ✔️ Apply before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.

  • Admit Card Release: Admit cards will be available a few weeks before the exam on the UPSC website.
