What is CUET?

Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUET) is an all-India examination to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various central & state universities of India including Delhi University, BHU, Allahabad University, Tezpur University, the University of Hyderabad amongst others.

Why CUET?

A common entrance test will not only eliminate the need to take multiple entrance exams but will also reduce the dependency on Class XII board exam marks. As per the proposed structure, CUET will have two papers:

CUET Participating Universities

CUET will be the mandatory admission test for universities established under an Act of Parliament and are under the control and purview of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. As of now, there are 54 central universities in India. The 54 Central Universities including Delhi University, Jamia Milia Islamia, together offer close to 1.68 Lac seats under various disciplines at the undergraduate level.

Common University Entrance Test CUET (UG) - 2023

National Testing Agency has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the Undergraduate Entrance Tests for all the Central Universities (CUs) for the academic session 2023-24.
CUET (UG) 2022 will provide a single window opportunity to students to seek admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) across the country for various Undergraduate Programmes.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the Common University
Entrance Test (CUET (UG) – 2023) for admission to various Undergraduate courses programmes offered by central and other participating Universities/ Institutes across the country for the academic year 2022-23 in CBT Mode as per details given below:

Duration of Online registration and submission of Application Form for CUET (UG) – 1^st week of April 2023

Duration of Examination Slot 1: 195 minutes (3:15 hours)
                                          Slot 2: 225 minutes (3:45 hours)
Mode of Examination     LAN Based CBT (Computer Based Test)
Pattern of Examination  Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Medium of Paper         13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese,Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam,Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
