10+2 BTech (Army & Navy)

B Tech  (10+2 ARMY & NAVY )

10 +2 (B Tech) Navy is a four years degree course conducted at Naval Academy, Ezimala, Kerala. The cadits will join in either Applied Electronics Engineering Stream. At the end of the course cadets will be awarded B Tech Degree from JNU. The Cadets will join the Executive or Engineering branch on Commission as officers.

Eligibility Conditions

  • Only unmarried Male
  • Age - 16½ years and above 19½ years.
  • Education - At least 60% marks in Science subjects (Math, Physics and Chemistry) in Class 12th. & Appeared in JEE Mains examination 
  • Height - Minimum 152 cm
  • Eye Sight - Minimum 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be clour / night blindness.
  • Tattoo - No Tattoo, Exceptions for Declared Tribal Area. However, small tattoo on forearm or back of palm allowed

Vacancies -  90 

The Vacancies are provisional and can be changed depending on the training capacity at the Training Academy for this course. The vacancies are subject to ncrease/decrease keeping the organizational requirement at that point of time.
Training. Total training will be of 5 years. Details are as under:
(a) Basic Military Training. 1 year (Officer Training Academy, Gaya) or any other Training Institute decided by the Indian Army.
(b) Technical Training.
(i) Phase-I (Pre Commission Training): 3 Years (CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad),
(ii) Phase-II (Post Commission Training): 1 year at CME Pune or MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad.
(c) Award of Degree. The candidates will be awarded Engineering degree after successful completion of the final examination. No ante date seniority will be admissible to candidates on account of this Engineering degree. During  the last two semesters, the officers will be permitted only one relegation on academic grounds. This relegation will be within the maximum two relegations permitted on academic grounds in the entire Engineering degree (8  semesters) in accordance with JNU Ordinance. Any further relegation of the officer on academic grounds will lead to termination of his commission.  

Selection Procedure

  1. All the Candidates have to meet the mandatory education qualification listed at para 3 above.
  2. Candidates will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB) based on their `class XII (PCM) percentage or ‘JEE (Main) rank’ based on their choice.
  3. Equal number of candidates would be shortlisted for SSB from the two lists based on their merit. However, if the response from either of the options is less, candidates from the other list will be considered for short listing.
  4. Final induction will be on a common merit based on SSB marks.  

How to Apply

  1. Candidates are to fill in ‘e-application' (Online) for this entry. The candidates are to apply online (eapplication) . 
  2. IMPORTANT - Please read the instructions given on the website carefully before submitting your ‘eapplication’ form.
  3. Online (e-application):- Whilst filling up the e-application, it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available to enable the following:-
  • Correct filling up of personal particulars. Details are to be filled up as given in the Matriculation Certificate. 
  • Fields such as e-mail address, mobile number are mandatory fields and need to be filled.

  • Click on the ‘Apply Online Officer Entry’ button on the Home Page.
  • Fill the online registration form. Tips to assist in filling up fields have been provided as you highlight each field. 
  • After filling the form click on Preview and check if all the information entered by you is correct.
  • Before clicking the Print Application button it should be checked whether all the details entered in the form is correct as you will not be able to make any corrections after saving the record. Candidates can take the print of the application form by entering the relevant details.
  • Before clicking the instructions for SSB Button, it should be checked whether all the details entered in the form are correct as you will not be able to make any corrections after saving the record. Candidates can read the instructions on conduct of SSB by clicking on the instruction for SSB button and can take the print of the application form by entering the details from the download sections under officer entry.
  • Print two copies of the online Application Form having the system generated Application Number.
  • Paste recent passport size colour photograph at the space provided and self attest the same.
  • One copy of this Application Form is to be duly signed and mailed (posted) to Post Box No. 04, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi - 110 011 along with the following documents:- Self attested photograph, Self attested result sheet of JEE (Main)  if qualified , Self attested photo copies of 10th & 12th class certificates along with Mark Sheets. In case CGPA, candidate is required to attach certificate issued by the school for conversion of CGPA in to percentage. Application to be sent by ordinary post only. Speed post/courier and Registered post will not be accepted. 

Technical Entry Scheme TES (10+2) Entry Scheme

TES (10+2) Entry course commences twice year, in the month of Jan and July each year for MALE candidates. The notifications for course are published in the month so May / June and Oct / Nov respectively. The SSB Interviews conducted from Aug to Oct and Feb to April each year respectively.

Indian Army TES 

Online Applications are invited from the Indian Army from the unmarried male candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects and fulfil the eligibility criteria mentioned below. The application process will start from 15th November on the official website Joinindianarmy.nic.in.  JEE Mains is obligatory for TES-49 Course. Nationality
A candidate must be unmarried male and must either be:
 (i) A citizen of India
 (ii) A subject of Bhutan
 (iii) A subject of Nepal
 (iv) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
(v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by Govt of India.
Certificate of eligibility will however not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be shortlisted provisionally subject to the necessary certificate being given to him by the Govt before declaration of result by SSB/joining training.

Age Limit
A candidate must not be below 16½ years and above 19½ years.
